LDA directs to expedite uplift works

Lahore Development Authority Director General Irfan Ali has ordered Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) officials to expedite the installation work on tube-wells in the city and complete it by the end of this month. He inspected the WASA infrastructure in various parts of the city. Wasa Managing Director Javed Iqbal also accompanied him.
He said the tube-wells being installed at Roza Abu Ishaq, Temple Road as well as on Mohni Road should be made operational by the June 10 and 20, respectively. He further directed for carrying out de-silting of Chota Ravi Drain within a period of five days in order to ensure quick disposal of rain water during the monsoon season.
The WASA Managing Director visited Shaukat Khanam Hospital drain and disposal stations to inspect works. He issued warning to Sub Divisional Officer, WASA, Johar Town for not registering public complaints regarding water and sanitation problems in the area.
