Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal has said that the government is allocating Rs 800 million in the budget for provision of agricultural tools to farmers, while the mark-up on agri loans will also be reduced. Talking to a farmers delegation he said the government aims to provide all facilities to the agri sector especially the small farmers.
He admitted that farmers are in a panic due to rising prices of inputs like seed, fertiliser, pesticide and electricity, but assured that the government is aware of these problems and is trying to overcome them.
