The government has appointed Syed Irshad Hussain as new Inspector General of Police Balochistan. According to sources, former IGP Balochistan Saud Gohar was transferred due the increasing incidents of target killings and bad law and order situation in the province.
Earlier Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani had expressed his dissatisfaction over the performance of police. New IGP Balochistan Syed Irshad Hussain belonged to Peshawar.
