Advance medical facilities in far-flung areas termed vital

Provision for advance medical facilities in small cities are essential to help the ailing people seek needed relief at their nearest, said Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro Vice Chancellor Professor Naushad Ahmed Shaikh.
In his inaugural speech at the Ophthalmic Diagnostic and Research Laboratory here at Liaquat University Eye Hospital on Monday, he said the university had taken upon itself to promote research culture as well as improved medical care for the masses.
He said establishment of Ophthalmic Diagnostic and Research Laboratory at the Liaqut University Hospital was aimed at facilitating local patients, and those from other parts of the province, requiring medical tests at a place close to their homes instead of visiting the medical centres in Karachi. Professor Naushad Ahmed Shaikh said those clinical tests would be conducted free of cost.
