Malaysian stocks closed little changed on Tuesday amid profit-taking by retail players and short-term investors, dealers said. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index fell 0.02 points to 1,230.96 and declining stocks outnumbered advancers 396 to 227.
Utility giant Telekom Malaysia lost 0.62 percent to 3.18 ringgit and Genting shed 0.88 percent to 5.65 ringgit. Top bank Maybank was flat at 7.35 ringgit and Tenaga added 1.82 percent to 8.40 ringgit.
