13 Jun, 2008

Lawyers across Balochistan boycotted proceedings of Balochistan High Court and all subordinate courts for the fourth day on Thursday in the province including the provincial metropolis in protest against the delay in reinstatement of the deposed judges of High and Supreme Courts.
Balochistan Bar Association has given a boycott call of all courts in the light of the decision of Supreme Court Bar Association from June 9 to 15 in the province. A large number of lawyers from Balochistan have already left their respective stations for participating in the lawyers' long march which began from Multan on Wednesday. No proceedings of case took place in subordinate courts in the province.
However, a few lawyers who have not participated in the long march attended hearing of their cases before the single and division benches of Balochistan High Court on Thursday.
