Governor Salman Taseer's wife on Thursday opened a three-day exhibition of beaded jewellery, organised by AHAN - a project by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) and the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD).
The exhibition will continue till June 14. Smeda Chief Executive Officer Shahid Rashid and several dignitaries from the private and public sector attended the opening ceremony. A range of hand crafted jewellery merging traditional techniques with contemporary designs developed by third year students of PIFD and craftswomen of Dadu, Kohat, Abbotabad are put on show.
