CAA to conduct emergency evacuation exercise

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will conduct a full-scale emergency evacuation exercise at Jinnah International Airport today. (Thursday).
According to a press release issued here, the objective of the exercise is to check the response action of the airport fire and medical services in case of emergency in the terminal building and to check the serviceability of fire detection and alarm system, installed fire fighting system, emergency exit and signologies at Jinnah airport.
During the exercise, fire-fighters and paramedic staff along with other organisations would develop better co-ordination to cope with emergency situation of this nature at the airport. During the two-hour emergency evacuation exercise, the flight schedule for all incoming and out going flights will continue according to their routine schedule.-PR
