Blast in Nepal kills two

Two people were killed and at least eight wounded in a bomb blast at a bus station in south-east Nepal, police said on Sunday. A little known group called Terai Army in a telephone call to local newspapers claimed responsibility for the blast at Chandranigahapur, 150 km (94 miles) south-east of Kathmandu, late on Saturday.
"The victims were waiting for a bus when it was raining in the area," police officer Binod Kharel said. The injured were admitted in a nearby hospital, he said. Several small armed groups operate in Nepal's southern plains demanding greater rights and more central funds for the development of the area, considered as Nepal's food basket.
