Lawyers vow to continue strike

President, High Court Bar Association, Multan, Mehmood Ashraf Khan has said that high court and district court bar associations would hold a symbolic strike for one hour daily and complete strike on Thursday. Terming the long march a great success he demanded the government that all the deposed judges should be restored.
Moreover, he said that deposed Chief Justice, Iftikhar Chaudhry, wants to visit again to Multan to thank the public, civil society and lawyers of the city. He expressed his views during a press conference held in high court bar, Multan, here on Monday.
He, further, said that our struggle would continue till the restoration of pre November, 3,2007 judiciary. However, he also disclosed that sit-in was pre-decided and in this regard a 70-member lawyers committee was formed who had to decide about the sit in. He, further, said that it will be asked from the committee that why didn't they take the lawyers in confidence regarding the sit in. Secretary General, High Court Bar, Rana Naveed and President District Bar, Najaf Chawan were also present in the press conference.
