Pak-Turkey friendship Pledge renewed

Rauf Engin Soyasal, Ambassador of Turkey on Tuesday met with National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, and thanked Pakistan for its consistent support to his country at international fora. He said that the government and people of Turkey were grateful and hoped that Pakistan would continue to support Turkey in the years to come.
Ambassador Syasal also appreciated Pakistan for countering terrorism and extremism and said Muslim scholars should also help remove misperceptions about Islam prevalent in the West. Faisal Karim Kundi reciprocating the gesture said that Pakistan also attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Turkey. The two countries share common views on regional and global issues, he added.
Kundi said that the two countries also share bonds of religion, history and culture and this would be further cemented through continued interaction of parliamentarians, as well as enhanced economic cooperation.
Our two countries respect each other and relations can be further strengthened through improved economic co-operation and exchange of parliamentary delegations. Kundi said that Muslim Ummah today is confronting challenges of unprecedented nature and to meet these challenges, Muslim countries will have to show unprecedented unity and cooperation.
