Businessmen asked to avoid carrying huge cash without security

Inspector General of Police (IGP) NWFP, Malik Naveed Khan on Tuesday urged the public, particularly, the traders, industrialists, currency dealers, and business community to avoid carrying huge cash money without adequate security.
The IGP took strong notice of a robbery incident in which armed car riders snatched huge amount from the currency dealer in the jurisdiction of police station Faqir Abad. The IGP directed the concerned police high ups to tighten the noose around the neck of the robbers involved in the incident and bring them to book at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the IGP appealed to the general public, especially, the traders community not to carry huge amount without proper security and either solicit the help of local police or get services of private security guards for this purpose.
They were further asked to install Close Circuit TV (CCTV) Cameras in all the small and big commercial centres so that in case of any untoward incident the identification of criminals becomes easier. The traders' community has been asked to make special arrangements to carry weapons so that they could continue their business and trade activities without any fear.
For carrying weapons the traders community have been asked to keep liaison with Chief Capital City Police, Peshawar, so that with mutual consultation further precautionary measures could be adopted.
