The district Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami was deprived of cash worth Rs 445,000 from his office on Monday night. The burglars broke into the office of JI Ameer Engineer Muhammad Rafiq, looted Rs 445,000 cash and decamped with booty. Rafiq is running a construction company at Club Road in the city.
This offended the entire business community, they took out a protest rally to express their resentment.
