21 Jun, 2008

The organising committee of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Friday discussed a plan for 'Expo Pakistan 2008', to be held from October 27 to 30, 2008. The committee discussed a roadmap for local and international marketing of the fourth edition of Expo Pakistan.
The event was earlier scheduled for March this year but political uncertainty made the organisers reset the dates following international buyers' concerns. TDAP officials said that the Authority has received positive response from local and international buyers for the event after its rescheduling.
There are suggestions from international buyers, local exhibitors, and trade associations are hopeful that desired results would be achieved of the event in October for next buying season. The event displays a range of local products including textiles, fabrics, apparels, gems & jewellery, home & décor, food, IT, leather, industrial goods, sports goods, surgical & pharmaceutical and service sectors.
