Tehrik-i-Insaf stages demonstration against Nato air strikes

Tehrik-i-Insaf (TI) Multan on Friday staged a demonstration against the US aggression in South and North Waziristan and killing innocent people. More than 100 activists were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the United States, George W Bush, Stop violence in Iraq and Afghanistan, Stop aggression against Pakistan, Stop flights of drone planes on Pak-Afghan border areas.
The demo was led by Younas Ghazi, advocate, district president, Major Mujib Ahmed Khan (Retd). He said, "We strongly condemned firing of Afghanistan based coalition forces into Pakistani territory killing more than 35 people" and termed it an aggression against Pakistan, which is a sovereign state.
He said that Security Council and UNO should take notice of such harsh and unlawful activities of Nato forces. TI leaders demanded clear cut policy from the government on this issue and a unanimous strategy to thwart what they described "naked aggression" by the United States and Nato forces fighting against terrorism in Afghanistan.
