Pesco and Shydo agree to transfer surplus power to Chitral

An agreement between Pesco and Shydo authorities has been made to transfer Surplus Power of Reshun Hydel power station of Shydo to Chitral Town through Pesco network to overcome shortage of electricity in Chitral Town.
The agreement was made possible due to the efforts of NWFP Population Welfare Minister Saleem Khan, says an official statement issued here on Sunday.
Meanwhile, on the demand of the provincial minister, Pesco has dispatched a high power electric transformer to overcome the low voltage problem in Chitral Town. The provincial minister has already got the approval of replacement of the old gadgets of Chitral Hydel Power Station with new once which would double the power generation capacity of the said power station.
The provincial minister has said that Pakistan Peoples Party was the representative party of the poor masses which is determined to provide the basic needs of life to the people at their door steps.
