PPP will strengthen institutions, says Gilani

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that PPP will make the public powerful and with that power will bring amendments in the parliament to strengthen the institutions. He said this while addressing a public meeting in Jahania on Sunday in connection the election campaign ofr Mureed Husssain Qureshi, brother of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
He said that Benazir Bhutto gave her life for democracy, and her blood would not go waste. "We will fulfil her dreams and would take her mission forward". He said that the country would certainly prosper. "We will fulfil our promise of bread, clothes and shelter to fulfil the dreams of the public".
The Prime Minister gave sanction of some projects presented to him. He gave sanction for supply of gas. He also ordered to give ownership rights to the people of small villages. He also gave Rs 1 million each for the construction of bar council and press club in Jahania.
He said that people gave heavy mandate, "and we have made the coalition government. We will act on the charter of democracy". He said that "we are sincere" for the restoration of judiciary and judges would surely be restored.
Thousands of people were present in the gathering who reached there hours before the arrival of the prime minister. Tight security arrangements were made on this occasion and about 1500 security officials were deployed. People were raising slogans in favour of Benazir and PPP. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Iftikhar Nazir, Mureed Hussain and others also addressed the meeting.
