US MIDDAY: sugar slips

Raw sugar futures on ICE Futures slipped at 8:43 am EDT (1243 GMT) on Monday. Key October raw sugar contract slid 0.13 cent to 12.95 cents per lb. Volume done at 12,973 lots. Moving between 12.93 and 13.28 cents, highest on intra-day second position charts since April 18 when market traded at session high of 13.36 cents.
Spot July contract down 0.22 cent at 11.75 cents. Range from 11.73 to 12.18 cents. On switches, open interest in July contract at 78,665 lots as of June 19, from the previous 87,994 lots, exchange data showed. Contract expires on June 30.
