Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 96,327 tonnes of cargo including 55,727 tonnes of import, 40,600 tonnes of export cargo and 4,642 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 81,327 tonnes of dry cargo including 60,298 tonnes of general cargo; 2,375 tonnes of rock phosphate; 5,954 tonnes of cement; 12,700 tonnes of clinker and 15,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Oocl Ability, Hansa Liberty, Itha Bhum and Vinalines Glory sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz MOL Admiration, Limari, Ever Green, Soon Fu and Taxiarchis are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Soon Fu, MOL Admiration, Limari, Ever Green and Caribbean Carrier expected to sail on Tuesday while four ships namely Taxiarchis, Irene, Bunga Delima and Fabulous are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Six vessels viz MT Johar, APL Jeddah, Rio Ekuku, Pacific Arrow, Berdyansk and Sidratul Muntaha due to arrive on Tuesday while four ships namely Akti-N, APL Cario, Ninth Ocean and Drean Diamond are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 11,473 tonnes of diesel oil; 4,478 tonnes of iron ore; 9,942 tonnes of cement and 50,031 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three vessels viz MT Al-Salam-II, MV Yasa Ilhan and CV Maersk Ohio sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another ship namely CV Sea Land Patriot is expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
A total of six ships namely Maersk Delano, Gama Tank, Eastern Tera, Royal Crystal, Kaghan and YM Cultivation carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals, edible oil, iron ore and coal respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Ohio, CV Sea Land Patriot, MV Alexi-3, MV Berenice, MV Ataqa, MT Al-Salam-II, MV Yasa Ilhan and Mv Venus are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Delano, MT Gama Tank and Royal Crystal carrying containers diesel oil and edible oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Three vessels viz MT Qem Star, MT Golden Express and CV MSC Nefel carrying chemicals, palm oil and containers are due to arrive on Tuesday while containers vessel ACX Dahlia and chemicals carrier Beisize Park are due to arrive on Wednesday.
