APHC team meets Shah Mahmood Qureshi

A delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) comprising Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq, Abdul Ghani Bhatt and Bilal Ghani Lone called on the Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
The Foreign Minister apprised the Kashmiri delegation of his meeting with the Indian External Affairs Minister last month. The Foreign Minister stated that there was complete political consensus in Pakistan over support of the Kashmir cause. The Foreign Minister reaffirmed to the delegation Pakistan's belief that the resolution of the Kashmir issue must be in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and that Kashmiris must be associated with the dialogue process.
Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq said that Pakistan government's invitation to APHC leadership to visit Pakistan signifies the importance that Pakistan attaches to the wishes of Kashmiri people in search for a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.
This has sent positive signals to the Kashmiri people. The APHC representatives briefed the Foreign Minister on the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir. The APHC delegation is in Pakistan at the invitation of the Foreign Minister to hold consultations with the leadership of Pakistan.
