Education sector gets substantial raise in budget: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the provincial government is fully aware of the importance of education and training of young generation and has made a substantial increase in the budget for the education sector.
He expressed these views in his message at the beginning of the eighth annual educational session of Ideological Summer School, organised by Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehrik-e-Pakistan here. He said that government was endeavouring for increasing existing facilities in educational institutions. Moreover, efforts were being made for improving economic condition of teachers and giving them a respectable status in the society, he said.
In his message, the Chief Minister also congratulated Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami and his colleagues on this achievement, and expressed the hope that ideological summer school would prove to be a milestone in mental grooming of the new generation.
"Pakistan is the result of innumerable sacrifices of our forefathers and we have a glorious past and there is a need for creating awareness in our younger generation about the struggle and sacrifices of our forefathers for the creation of Pakistan," He said. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the measures, taken by the government, would leave a far-reaching impact on standard of education. He also prayed for the success of ideological school and a better future for the participants.
