Five held for illegal liquor manufacturing

On especial directives of the Sindh Home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza, the DPO Badin, Fida Hussain Mastoi ordered Badin police to launch action against illegal liquor manufacturers.
According to police officials, the police under the DSP, Aftab Agheem carried out operations in different areas of the city, apprehended five miscreants and recovered 850 litters of home-made liquor, 16 kilogram of Charas, a single-barrel gun and 25 bullets from their possession.
The police also raided the Mallah Village situated near Army Welfare Sugar Mills Badin, an area famous for locally made liquor, and seized raw material used in manufacturing of liquor in large quantity. Police sources also informed Business Recorder that they arrested five persons, identifying two as Hanif Mallah, Yousuf Mallah, and lodged cases against them.
The DPO Badin also advised the citizens to inform Badin police about crimes and criminals in their areas, streets, villages and towns so as to curb the crime in the district. 'I offer best services to people of Badin and urge them to help the police fight the crime', he added.
