Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said the government is determined to help business education institutions to develop computer experts of international calibre. He told a student delegation of a private business education institution in Faisalabad at his home on Saturday.
He said that computer experts could help the government to achieve good governance by improving the efficiency and performance of the government machinery. He said his government was trying to make the performance of government institutions more effective and hoped that with the introduction of the Intrnet, the co-ordination and communication between government departments would become more efficient.
"Students getting IT education are an asset of the country and these students should not limit themselves to jobs only but should develop such software which benefit the people and make their lives easier. The development in the digital technology has further limited the global distances and the people are in continuous contact with each other. He hoped that the communication technology will promote inter-provincial harmony and brotherhood among the people of four provinces," he said.
