Pepco restores power supply

02 Jul, 2008

The Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco) has successfully restored the electricity supply through alternate sources to the affected areas, where power supply was suspended due to collapse of angle tower No 27 of the 220 KV Double Circuit New Multan-NGPS Transmission Line at 0317 hours Tuesday because of wind storm.
The affected 132 KV grid stations of Qasimpur, Vehari road, Khanewal road, Bosan road and Basti Malook and the 66 KV grid station Jalalpur Pirwala are now being fed from Muzaffargarh and Fauji Kabirwala lines. Extra load management to the tune of about 80 MW has started in the areas because of load constraints and may continue for some time.
