PML-N Central leader Khwaja Saad Rafique has hinted at growing cracks in the governing coalition while saying the PPP is not consulting it's fellow coalition members, but rather acting unilaterally on the major issues that face the nation.
Rafique said the PML-N and PPP had entered into a coalition to strengthen democratic forces, but complained that they were being left in the dark by the PPP on major issues. In response to a question, the PML-N leader cited the decision to scrap the Kalabagh Dam project and the ongoing military operations in the Khyber Agency, as well as the appointment of the Punjab Governor as two of the major issues on which the PML-N was not consulted. Rafique also cited the restoration of the judiciary as another flash point between the coalition partners.
In the interview, he also issued a strong condemnation towards President Musharraf and said that the masses had given a decisive vote against him and his foreign and domestic policies in the February election.
