Rajab moon may be sighted today

The new Rajab moon should be sighted today (Friday), according to astronomical parameters. Therefore, Rajab One, 1429 AH should fall on Saturday. The moon crossed the conjunction line yesterday (Thursday) at 0819 Pakistan Summer Time (PST). The sunset today will be at 2026 PST, and the evening civil twilight (ECTL) will be at 2052 PST. The moon will set at 2148 PST.
Thus the age of the new moon will be 36 hours and 33 minutes at ECTL. It will set 82 minutes after sunset and 56 minutes after ECTL. At the time of ECTL the moon will be at an altitude of 11 degrees and 33 minutes and at an azimuth of 287 degrees and 29 minutes. The weather is expected to be cloudy to partly cloudy.
