LHC holds full court meeting

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain on Friday held a full court meeting to hear various problems being faced by judicial officers of the subordinate courts. The meeting, which was attended by all 33 judges and held after 12 years, decided that in summer vacations maximum judges would volunteer themselves to reduce the number of pending cases.
In the first week of summer vacations nine LHC judges will hold courts with five division benches being set up to hear criminal cases and murder appeals. Six benches will be formed to hear civil cases. The meeting also decided to make subordinate courts more active to help litigants.
