Artificial sugar shortage in Jamshoro

An artificial shortage of sugar has been created in Kotri and other towns of Jamshoro district, where no sugar is available at utility stores and the people are buying at exorbitant rate from the market. The utility stores are to sell the sugar at Rs 25 per kilogram but the same has allegedly been sold to the traders, who are selling it at Rs 30 per kilogram in the open market.
The situation has created unrest among the people who blame that utility stores' officials are corrupt and minting money by selling the essential commodities to the traders.
