05 Jul, 2008

Sindh Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has expressed keen interest in the scheme proposed by Aga Khan Foundation for an "education city." He was talking to members of a delegation of Aga Khan Foundation led by Abu Shamim Arif and S.K. Dehlvi in his office.
The minister was briefed about the proposed scheme of education and the problems being faced in the same. Senior Minister was informed that although a steering committee has been formed to facilitate finalisation of the scheme however, it is working at a slow pace and requires political indulgence to accelerate the same.
Senior minister asked the delegation to submit precise paper work about the same so that a summary may be prepared through Secretary Education. Senior minister assured the delegation of presenting the summary to the Chief Minister and also make his best efforts to remove the hurdles causing delay in finalisation and completion of the project.
