Sindh Land Commission to be formed soon

Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro has said that a Sindh Land Commission will be formed against those having wrong claims on government lands and illegal occupiers so that gold-like lands of Sindh could be saved and the irregularities being committed in this regard contained.
He stated this in a meeting with Sindh Advocate General Mohammed Yusuf Leghari at his office late on Friday. The minister informed that the chief minister will be the chairman of this Commission with the law Minister, the advocate central, provincial law secretary and a senior law officer being its members.
Ayaz Soomro said the departments and officers whose cases are in courts, should appear before the courts. If any department of the Sindh government suffers because of absence and non-appearance of any officer, strict legal action will be taken against that officer, he warned.
The minister informed that a new building will be constructed for the office of the Sindh Advocate General so that law officers had a conducive environment to sit and work. Ayaz Soomro also visited the Sindh Bar Council (SBC) and met the staff. SBC Executive Committee Chairman Abdul Haleem Siddiqi and SBC Secretary Ghulam Anwar Bhangwar apprised the minister of the Council's problems, which he assured to be solved.
He also visited the office of Official Assignee of Karachi, Qadir Bux Umrani. Sindh Law Secretary Mohammed Sadiq Bhatti, Additional Advocate General Sarwar Khan, Assistant AG Fareed Hasan, and other officials of the provincial law department were also present on the occasion.
