Cricket coaching camps to help groom children's skill: minister

Both talents discovering and proper utilisation of summer vacations of children was the keynote of 6th A-O. Free Cricket Coaching Camp 2008 and it will be the source for having talented sportsman to shine the name of the country.
This was stated by Sindh Minister for Sports Dr Muhammad Ali Shah while delivering his presidential address on the closing ceremony of 6th A-O. Free Cricket Coaching Camp 2008 at Niaz Stadium Hyderabad on Monday.
He said that these children were the real assets of this country because they should have to shoulder the responsibilities of the country in future as such it has become imperative for us to keep youngsters safe and provide them all facilities to groom up their sport-skills and disciplined life. He said that many coaching camps are functioning but Hyderabad camp is the best and result-oriented.
He hoped that these children would earn the skill up to level of international team. He said that two cricketers Owais Ali and Qadafi who were the product of A-O. Free Cricket Coaching Camp are playing international cricket matches in England.
He appreciated the players and coaches who worked hard during the camp and said that such camps would be organised every year for the discovering new talents.
He said that after the handing over the possession of Niaz Stadium Hyderabad to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the developmental works which were being carried out would be finalised within one and half years. He said that a five-star hotel for the Stadium was under construction which would be completed very soon.
He announced a gold medal for Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil for the services rendered by him for the promoting sports in Hyderabad.
He further said that he had heard many complaints regarding the worst condition of hockey ground Latifabad Unit No 6. He said that he would pay a surprise visit there and would investigate about the millions of rupees, which were spent on the project.
The Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil while addressing the ceremony said that a conducive atmosphere has been provided for the encouragement of the sports in Hyderabad and offered his full co-operation to the Sindh Sports Board. Later, the Sindh Minister for Sports distributed the appreciating certificates and trophies among the players of the 24-participating cricket teams.
