On Monday, the BRIndex30 opened in the negative zone, at 12,680.18, with a downward gap of 101.03 points, and remained there for whole of the trading time, closing at 12,659.57 with a net negative change of -121.64 points, or -0.95 percent.
It experienced intra-day high of 12,680.18 and low of 12,659.57 with the volume of 11,929,100 shares, which was 70.67 percent of market total and 88.55 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 16,879,600 and 13,471,900 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 3,920.32 with a negative change of -29.05 points and percentage change of -0.74. The turnover for this sector was 8,296,500 shares. BR Cement Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,273.21 with a net negative change of -8.72 points and percentage change of -0.68. The turnover for this sector was 3,002,400 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with a turnover of 1,545,800 shares. It closed at 2,282.95 with a net negative change of -20.97 points and percentage change of -0.91. BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 1,296.19 with a net downward change of -10.83 points and percentage change of -0.83. The volume of this sector was 335,700 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,319.96 with a downward change of -10.91 points and percentage change of -0.82. The turnover for this sector was 207,100 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
