Need to enhance co-operation between GCU, USEF stressed

Executive Director, United States Educational Foundation (USEF), Dr Grace Clark has told Vice Chancellor, Government College University (GCU), Dr Khalid Aftab about the Foundation's Scholarship programmes and Educational Advising Services.
She visited the university on Tuesday to meet Dr Aftab who stressed the need to have mutual academic co-operation between his university and the foundation in Pakistan. Dr Clark talked about the Fulbright Scholarship facility available to students of Pakistan and said she hoped her foundation would further extend the educational facilities in Pakistan.
Dr Khalid also told Dr Clark about the chairs named after the distinguished Old Ravians especially the Salam Chair named after Nobel Laureate Dr Abdus Salam and Mehboob-ul-Haq Chair in Economics. While the two students of GCU have been selected by the American Consulate in Lahore to represent Pakistan in the United States of America for a program entitled.
"The Study of United States for Student Leaders." Ummar Ziauddin, President GCU Debating Society and Daniyal Talat, President GC University Lahore Dramatics Club, have proceeded to the University of Vermont, USA for a six-week program, which focuses on the study of USA.
