Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 83,879 tonnes of cargo including 41,782 tonnes of import, 42,097 tonnes of export cargo and 3,783 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargoes comprised of 76,392 tonnes of dry cargo including 51,155 tonnes of general cargo; 4,431 tonnes of coal; 3,642 tonnes of rock phosphate; 8,064 tonnes of cement; 9,100 tonnes of clinker and 7,487 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Sinar Bintan, Bunga Teratal-4, Loa, Lucky Man, MT Johar and Blida sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Timos Stavors, Mare Threcium, Cape Negro, Northern Harmony, Iron Butterfly and M3 Susanne are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Northern Harmony, Apl Dalian, Cape Negro and Mare Threcium expected to sail on Wednesday while another five vessels viz Global Prosperity, Timos Stavors, M3 Susanne, Sunrise Lilac and Super Star-III are expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Selendong Permata, Mol Affinity, Nicolas A and Thor Swan due to arrive on Wednesday while six ships namely Aquamarine 1, Creek, Kota Ekspres, Hanjin Chittagong, Navision Bulder and Red Sea Spirit are due to arrive on Thursday.

The cargo comprised of 44,608 tonnes of furnace oil; 5,587 tonnes of palm oil; 194 tonnes of rock phosphate; 4,471 tonnes of chemicals; 11,000 tonnes of coal; 9,311 tonnes of iron ore and 34,260 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz MT CS Crane, MV Alfa-K and CV Maersk Iwoa sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while two more ships namely MT Sea Sky and MT Sic hem Defender are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of six ships namely ACX Tsubaki, Maersk Dalmont, Al-Soor-II, Royal Emerald, Golden Nori and Bunga Melati Dua carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Iwoa, MV Arcadia, MV Sirios, MT Chemstar Hero, MT Sea Sky, MT Sic hem Defender and MV Kaghan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, coal, rock Phosphate, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV ACX Tsubaki, CV CMA CGM America, MT Al-Soor-II and MT Royal Emerald carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal and EVTL respectively on Wednesday. Three vessels viz MT Suzanne, MT Smooth Hounds and MT Sea Lion carrying diesel oil and furnace oil due to arrive on Wednesday while another ship namely CV CMA CGM Turkey is due to arrive on Thursday.
