Reconstruction of Jamia Hafsa, Faridia demanded

Charged students of demolished Jamia Hafsa and Jamia Faridia have demanded of the government to reconstruct their seminaries at their original site and release Maulana Abdul Aziz, former Khateeb of Lal Masjid.
They held a protest demonstration outside Lal Masjid after Friday congregation and chanted slogans against President Pervez Musharraf and demanded judicial probe into the last year Lal Masjid operation. The demonstrators called for the release of Maulana Abdul Aziz and withdrawal of all cases against him. They also demanded registration of cases against President Musharraf.
Chief Cleric of Lal Masjid Maulana Aamir Siddiq reiterated the resolve to continue the Islamic education in Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in a peaceful manner. "We were peaceful in past and will remain the same in future."
They would chalk out future strategy if their demands were not met, he added. "We have started the classes in the open, and will wait for reconstruction of Jamia Hafsa for sometime, the Maulana said, adding that they would themselves start the construction work on the original site. In case of any untoward incident the government would be responsible.
More than 4,000 students were getting education in Jamia Faridia, which was closed after operation silence, he said and asked the government to open Jamia for the students and let them get the Islamic education. He demanded the release of Maulana Abdul Aziz and unconditional withdrawal of all cases against him.
