Ibad becomes Sindh's longest serving governor

Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan on Wednesday earned the distinction of becoming Sindh's longest serving Governor. He had the honour of being Sindh's youngest ever Governor when he took oath of the office on December 27, 2002 as 30th Governor.
Earlier Lieutenant General S.M. Abbasi had the honour of being Sindh's longest serving Governor who remained in this office from September 18, 1978 to Apr 6, 1984. The way Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad performed his responsibilities earned him appreciation from people belonging to all walks of life. They are convinced about his abilities, political acumen, under-standing about issues and they acknowledge that he had performed what even senior and elderly leaders could not.
