Dengue virus case confirmed in capital

The National Institute of Health (NIH) here on Wednesday confirmed one case positive for Dengue virus in the Capital, Business Recorder learnt. According to hospital sources, Jannat Khan was brought to the Polyclinic Hospital a few days back. He was suffering from high fever.
Later, the blood samples of the patient suspected of suffering from the disease sent to NIH where they confirmed positive. The administration of the Polyclinic has also confirmed this. Currently, Jannat Khan is serving in Frontier Corps (FC) of Pakistan Army, Peshawar, and has been deputed in Islamabad for the last two years.
Two other men, named Zahid and Asfar from the same platoon, in which Jannat Khan was serving, were also brought to the hospital in the same condition and are under observation. Their blood samples have also been sent to NIH. According to the hospital sources, Jannat Khan has been provided with all the essential medications.
