PPP believes in people's power

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) believes in people's power and has brought the national politics out of drawing rooms to the masses. This was stated by Minister for Population Welfare Punjab Ms Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry here on Wednesday. She said the party would maintain the supremacy of rule of law as well as the sovereignty of the people.
She also said that PPP has ensured real democracy in Pakistan and recalled that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto wrote history of social, economic and political welfare by her continuous efforts and hard work. Neelam said that the party would continue the journey of democracy and sacrifices, which was started by the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
The PPP is the saviour party of the country and we would continue our struggle for the welfare of the people and protection of the country, she added. She said that after the martyrdom of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari saved the country from crisis and it was due to his wisdom that the country was put on the path of democracy.
She further said that Population Welfare Department to set up family welfare centres at villages, whereas the department was appointing trained staff at these centres, especially in remote areas so that infants and mothers could be saved from fatal diseases, she concluded.
