Notorious thief held

Investigation Police Modal Town division have arrested a notorious thief and seized gold ornaments as well as two motorcycles worth rupees 1.2 million from him. The accused has confessed to committing a number of such kind of crimes during a preliminary interrogation.
The culprit was arrested by a special team constituted on the direction of SP Investigation Modal Town Rai Ijaz Ahmed comprising Incharge Investigation Modal Town and other officials on a tip-off. The modus operandi of the criminal was that he used to manage job of his son namely Ali Raza in different houses and later stole precious items from there.
The culprit also used to sell gold ornaments, watches, diamonds and other valuables at throwaway prices at different shops. Cases have also been traced against him in Garhi Shahu, Modal Town and Nasirabad police stations.
A special team has been constituted to arrest his son Ali. The police recovered five set of jewellery, two gold bangles, three diamond rings, one bracelet, one gold chain and two motorcycles from his possession. The arrested thief was identified as Abdul Razzaq alias Jaka. DIG Investigation Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhaira has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police raiding team.
