Manufacturers asked to follow consumer protection laws

The District Consumer Protection Council (DCPC) has announced that manufacturers should prepare price lists for their products in accordance with existing laws. The DCPC members were urged to play their role in addressing the concerns of consumers.
The DCPC was formed under the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2003 and to date have received 81 complaints of unsatisfactory services and sub-standard products by consumers. The meeting of the District Consumer Protection Council (DCPC) was held to revise the rights of consumers and was chaired by the District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Faisalabad, Azam Suleman and attended by District Officers (DO)'s amongst others.
