Federal government on the special directive of Prime Minister has decided to take strict action against registered Haj and Umra tour operators if they violate the terms and conditions of the package offered to the people.
Provincial head of the department of the tourist service, Federal Ministry of Tourism, Muhammad Nasim Laber talking to APP here on Sunday said that action will be ensured against tour operators who do not fulfil their commitments and fail to provide the facilities contained in the package.
He advised pilgrims going for Haj or Umra through the tour operators to get a written and signed copy of the package and the facilities offered therein from the tour managers, and pay the amount through crossed cheque and get a proper receipt of the payment.
"Every facility that has been charged for should be delivered by the tour operator, and if not, action will be taken against them, and the money recovered and returned to the aggrieved persons," he added.
Laber said that any aggrieved person from the province, except Rawalpindi district, may send his complaint to him by post to 24 C, Canal Park, Gulberg 11, Lahore, or fax it to 042-5757558.
The complaint must contain all necessary information with the correct name and complete address of the tour operator, so that timely action is initiated. Complainants can also contact Assistant Controller Wazir Ahmad Bosan to register their grievance for necessary action.
