Central Information Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Ahsan Iqbal has suggested the PCO judges to tender their resignations in the larger national interest so that the judicial crisis could come to an end.
Talking to the agency on Sunday he said that resignations by the PCO judges' were the only solution to the judicial crisis created after the removal of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry on March 9, 2007.
To a question he said that Nawaz-Zardari meeting would bring positive results. He said as Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani vowed in his address to the nation that the nation would soon hear good news about the restoration of judges, saying that PML-N has welcomed it. However, he said that PPP had earlier promised in the Murree declaration but till now that was not fulfilled.
Replying another question he said that PML-N fully supports the lawyers movement for judges' restoration, however, about joining the civil disobedience movement, Ahsan Iqbal said that the party leadership would decide about it.
