Soyabean futures were down 16 to 20 cents per bushel, with August was down 17-1/2 at $13.76-3/4 per bushel. Good crop weather in the US Midwest and increased export competition from Argentina following last week's decision by the Argentine government to scrap a hike on taxes of soya exports weighs on prices.
Long-liquidation by investors continues to pressure soya. Soyameal was down $3.90 to $4.80 per ton, with August down $4.30 at $371.80 per ton.
