Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 276,276 tonnes of cargo including 202,928 tonnes of import, 73,348 tonnes of export cargo and 4,401 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargoes comprised of 140,051 tonnes of dry cargo including 86,180 tonnes of general cargo; 4,766 tonnes fertiliser; 30,104 tonnes of coal; 5,840 tonnes of cement; 13,161 tonnes of clinker and 136,225 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Twelve ships namely Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Orient Stride, Oel Trust, Kota Gunawan, Kapitan Byankin, Jitra Bhum, Han Sprinter, Lida, Flag Investor, Lena, Met Stockhom and Otello Manship sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Fourteen vessels viz Sealo-1, Adriatic Arrow, Bulk Arrow, Ym Inauguration, Kapitan Byankin, Orient Stride, Cosco Karachi, Jitra Bhum, Saigon Express, Lena, Lida, Gulf Tiger, Tiheroula and Quasarr are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Adriatic Arrow expected to sail on Monday while another four vessels viz St. Irene, CoscoLian Yun Gang, Sidratul Muntaha and Quasar are expected to sail on Tuesday. Six vessels Gulf Horizon, Lucky Man, Bunga Teratai-3, Apl Dalian, Harmony and Sima Sahba due to arrive on Tuesday.

Two vessels viz oil tanker MT Gamma Tank and chemicals carrier MT Qem Star sailed out to sea on Monday morning. A total of six ships namely Maersk Deva, Ice Base, Al-Salam-II , Leopard-B, QSM Dubai and Yanaseni carrying containers, diesel oil, cement and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz MV Abboud-G, MV Santa Fe, MV Monique, MT Qem Star, MV Ocean Beauty, MT MCT Stockhom and MT Gamma Tank are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals, iron ore, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period. Two ships namely CV Maersk Deva and MT Ice Base carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Monday.
Five ships namely CV Dubai, MV Leonis, Sea Bloom, MV Shrike and MT Star Dream to load/offload containers, cement, coke and palm oil due to arrive on Monday while another container ship namely Maersk Virginia is due to arrive on Tuesday.
