All DHQ hospitals: Shahbaz orders provision of generators

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced provision of generators in district headquarters hospitals for ensuring hurdle-free functioning of the hospitals.
Addressing a meeting of district administration and members of national and provincial assemblies here on Tuesday evening he directed all District Co-ordination Officers and District Police Officers to conduct open kutcharies twice a month for redressal of the public complaints in their respective areas.
He directed that 'Immediate Relief Centres' should be set up at district level, and added that public complaints would be computerised and a permanent accountability system would be established for analysing relief and complaints and all DCOs and DPOs would be responsible for providing relief to the complainants.
The Chief Minister also directed the concerned officials to ensure implementation of 'One dish' order without any discrimination. He said that third-party audit would be carried out on projects completed under Citizen Community Boards (CCB), and announced provision of Rs 408 million for Sialkot City Package immediately for different projects of Sialkot.
He also announced establishment of a medical college, an ICU, a burn unit, neuron, cardiology wards and additional increase of 114 beds in Allama Iqbal Hospital, Sialkot. The Chief Minister took serious notice of the delay in the project of 100-bed Social Security Hospital, costing Rs 190 million, as a result of which the industrial workers are being deprived of the benefits.
Shahbaz said that to provide accommodation facilities to industrial workers two more labour complexes would be constructed to facilitate the industrial workers of Sialkot, and the government would introduce the facility of technical courses for industrial workers in the province soon.
