The girls bagged all the top positions in the SSC Part II Annual Examination 2008 of the Science Group. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) notified the results on Thursday. Subas Ali and Alicia Khan Ghauri - both of the St Joseph's Convent High School, shared the first position with 821 marks each out of the maximum of 850.
Three candidates with 805 marks each were jointly placed in the second position. There were Mehwish Siddiqui of the Falcon House Grammar School, Sana Azmat of the Karachi Public School and Dur-e-Shehwar of the CAA Model School Airport Karachi.
The third position went to Sana Ashraf of the Federal Secondary School with 803 marks. According to statistics, 106,113 candidates appeared in the examination and of these 81,692 were declared successful with the pass percentage of 76.99.
Of these 12,284 were placed in A-I grade and 20,986 got the grade A. As many as 22,864 obtained the B grade and 18,004 with the grade C. The number of those who got D grade was 7,030 while 318 were placed in E grade whereas 206 got the passing marks.
