The Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled (Labard) has on Thursday provided medical assistance to more than 80 disabled persons at a medical camp established here at the LABARD office under the supervision of its President Pervaiz Malik.
At the medical camp two doctors examined the disabled persons and also referred some of the needy persons to different city hospitals while artificial limbs were provided a few handicapped persons.
The medical camp was a part of Labard services, which are being provided to the ailing disabled persons without any cost. LABARD is also providing cost-free education, skill training employment and Qarz-e-Hasna. Thousands of disabled persons have been benefited from the Labard services.
The Labard is bearing all expenses by its own and its governing body members are providing all funds. The Labard is also organising camps in different parts of city since long to create awareness about their rights so that more and more disabled persons could be benefited from the services being offered by it.
