Lawyer's sons abduction case: SHO directed to register FIR

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Thursday directed Station House Officer (SHO), Mozang Police, to record the statement of the victims and register a FIR against alleged abduction of two sons of a lawyer and submit the report to the court within 15 days.
The court was holding proceedings of suo motu notice taken by the LHC, Chief Justice, Sayed Zahid Hussain on the basis of a news item. On Wednesday the judge had recorded statements of abductees, Muhammad Usman and Muhammad Hassnain Umar and exempted SI CIA Abrar Shah from appearance before the court.
On the court order a reporter, who had filed the story of the incident, also appeared before the court and proved authenticity of his story. According to the news item, two dozens of policemen kidnapped Muhammad Hassnain Umar and Muhammad Usman, sons of Advocate Nazeer Ahmed on Thursday from outside the LHC gate when they were on the way to their home.
After keeping them for two hours in illegal detention and subjecting them to physical torture, kidnappers released the abductees with threats to stop their father from pursuing a case, the story said. Advocate Ahmed was pursuing the case before the LHC filed by Muhammad Haneef seeking custody of his daughter in law from her father Rana Akram. The LHC already had produced the girl and sent her to Darul Amaan.
