Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has published Urdu Journal "Illm ki Roshni", under patronage of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mahmmud-ul-Hassan Butt and editorship of Dr Mahmudur Rahman. The journal carries a number of thought provoking articles and reviews of some newly published books while the editorial highlights significance of languages in imparting education.
