Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)'s Senior Vice President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that delay in impeachment of Pervez Musharraf, reinstatement of deposed judges, price hike, and other steps had strengthened the dictator and his remnants and now they were plotting to remove the coalition government.
Addressing a public meeting in his electoral area PML-N central leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said. "These are demands, not grievances," he said. The PML-N would ask its major coalition partner to take the party into confidence in all the important and fundamental decisions being taken by the government, Hashmi said. Another demand pertains to expanding the scope of mutual consultations so that an impression could be created that the present set-up was a coalition government and not a PPP regime.
He criticised the appointment of Salman Taseer as the Punjab governor, and said that the PML-N was not consulted before taking this decision." He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif will present a "roadmap" to Zardari in a crucial meeting within a fortnight either in Islamabad or in Lahore in order to "evolve a positive situation in the country." Through this roadmap, the PML-N will put up various demands such as the implementation of the Bhurban Declaration, the impeachment of President Musharraf, and the restoration of the pre-October 12, 1999 Constitution.
